Rajiv Pratap Rudy

ACI President & Commissioner of General Aviation & Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Former Union Minister for Civil Aviation and Commerce & Industry, Parliamentary Affairs (State), Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (IC), Government of India

Commencing his political career as a student union leader, Captain Rudy is an eminent political leader in India. He has served as a Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge) and Parliamentary Affairs in Shri Narendra Modi’s government.

 Capt Rudy served as the Minister of State for Commerce and Industry during his earlier tenure as a Union Minister during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government. He was elevated as the Civil Aviation Minister with Independent Charge in 2003. He has served 5 terms in Parliament which includes his tenures both in the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha.

Shri Kirti Vardhan Singh

Vice President & Commissioner of Microlights and Paramotors, ACI & Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change & Minister of State for External Affairs

Shri Kirti Vardhan Singh was sworn-in as Union Minister of State on 09 June 2024. He assumed charge as Minister of State for Environment, Forest & Climate Change and Minister of State for External Affairs on 11 June 2024.

He has been elected for the 5th time as a Member of Parliament to the 18th Lok Sabha in 2024 from Gonda Constituency in Uttar Pradesh.

Mr. MPS Solanki

Commissioner of Experimental Aircrafts, ACI

He has been associated with aero sports since 2001. He is an experienced pilot on gliders,
propeller and jet aircrafts. He is also a parajumper, paraglider and paramotor pilot. He was also
the officially appointed ACI observer in FAI Paragliding World Cup at Bir-Billing in 2015.

He has accomplished pan India paramotoring expedition that involved circumnavigation of India
by flying 10,041.7 km in 53 days. The expedition earned one World and three National records.

Mayank Nagpal

National Air Sport Commissioner - Skydiving, National Skydiving Judge (Speed Skydiving), National Skydiving Judge (Accuracy and FS).

Mayank Nagpal has been appointed as the First National Air Sports Commissioner
(Skydiving) under the Aero Club of India (ACI), following the implementation of the
National Air Sports Guidelines (NASG) 2023 by the Government of India. An
accomplished skydiver and a key figure in the Indian air sports community, he brings over
two decades of experience in military and civilian skydiving. His appointment marks a
pivotal step in aligning Indian air sports with global safety and training standards. As the
Air Sports Commissioner, he will spearhead structured development, regulation and
promotion of air sports across the nation. This leadership role is expected to drive
excellence, youth engagement and international recognition in Indian air sports.

Stanzin Sonam

National Air Sport Commissioner - Aeromodelling, ACI

Stanzin Sonam, the National Air Sport Commissioner for Aeromodelling under the Aero Club of India (NAC), hails from Ladakh and is a passionate aeromodelling enthusiast and professional paraglider. As the Chief Flying Instructor specializing in high-altitude paragliding, he has played a key role in promoting safe and advanced flying practices in the challenging Himalayan environment. In addition to his instructional and administrative roles, he serves as the Team Leader of Team India in Paragliding Accuracy, representing the country at international platforms with distinction and dedication.

Group Captain MJ Augustine Vinod, VSM

National Air Sport Commissioner - Drone, ACI

Group Captain MJ Augustine Vinod, VSM, is a decorated former Indian Air Force fighter pilot, aviation strategist, and drone specialist with over 3,500 flying hours across frontline combat aircraft and transport platforms. Commissioned in 1992, he has commanded operational fighter squadrons, led key national defence projects, contributed to intelligence and special operations, and played a central role in major air missions including Balakot. An accomplished academic with a PhD and advanced defence training, he is widely regarded for his early work in autonomous and swarm drone systems, counter-drone solutions, and UAV development. Currently serving as Commissioner for Drones at the National Air Sports Commission and founder of a drone manufacturing venture, he continues to shape India’s aviation and unmanned systems ecosystem through leadership, innovation, and mentorship.

Capt. Kshetrimayum Imochaoba Singh

National Air Sport Commissioner - Hot Air Ballooning, ACI

Capt. Kshetrimayum Imochaoba Singh is an eminent and pioneering figure in Indian aero sports, excelling as both Instructor and Pilot in disciplines such as Hot Air Ballooning and Gliding. Actively associated with the Aero Club of India (ACI), he has contributed significantly to the promotion of aero sports nationwide. Notably, he is the first and only recipient of the Flight Instructor Rating (Balloon) license issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), India. His distinction further extends to being the only civilian instructor to have trained officials of the Indian Army and Navy, underscoring his unique role in bridging civilian expertise with defense aviation training.
